A Story in pictures – Part-1 (Longwood Gardens)

	Suni, Adi and I went to Longwood gardens in PA. It reminded me so much of the Kew gardens in London, so similar and beautiful! As you can see, the flowers were amazing and we hadnt even entered the garden.
These were just outside the main entrance! And then…
	…there were some interesting things in the entrance lobby!
…and more.
	A set of lamps…these were along a nice looking path inside the garden. Very period and very pretty sight!
We then went on the flower walk. Its a…walk! with flowers on both sides of the path…beautiful..
And then there were nice pots arranged beautifully!
	And there were some nice man made art! hmmm….interesting…
From here we went to the rose garden….my favorite flower… :-)
very very pretty… As some might say….purrrfeccctt! :-)
Iris’ were exquisite!
And there were some, I dont know the names of…nevertheless, they were more than pretty…  If somebody knows their names, please enlighten me :-)
The lilies were cooooool!!!
Butterfly bush and the daisies were elegant!
And then there were more, I dont know the names of :-) Somebody interested in garden should be able to tell me ;-) (well, the last one isn't even a flower…just put there as it was complimenting others!
	And then some Orchids…. (running out of adjectives now)
	This one is my darling!! for obvious reasons!
And then Water lily (the lotus)

Back from the hiatus!

 

For those who have been wondering what happened to my blogs, and me ofcourse, well - i am having a severe case of virus infection!:-)

No, no – not the medical kind, but the photography kind! Which I think is good because its about time I took my photography seriously because that’s the one thing I really love doing.

So, first thing I decided was to set my gear right. So now I have almost all range of glasses (to the uninitiated, thats the pro-talk for lenses :-)). I have a pro tripod a pair of pro flashes with diffusers and a reflector.

So that makes it a complete set. So now my gear looks like this

Olympus E-30 body, 18-180mm zoom lens, 9-18mm wide angle lens, 70-300mm telephoto lens, a 25mm pancake lens, a 35mm macro lens, EC-20 2x teleconverter (doubles the focal length of any attached lens), Benro ballhead tripod, FL-36R and FL-50R flashes, a 5-in-1 reflector, and a Kata carry bag!

So how much did all this cost? It set me back by $4500!!!

I dont regret anything because I always wanted a semi-pro gear and thats what I got. I am truly happy with my purchases.

I would seriously like to pursue this hobby because this is what is most satisfying for me. I am not too concerned about whether I will earn anything or not out of it. Sooner or later that will happen too, I am sure. I sure get a tremendous sense of satisfaction from the apprecaitions that I get for my pics.
